At AQ Books, we tell loud stories, queer stories, messy stories, healing stories — but today, we pause the chaos and hold space for the ones whose stories were cut short.
Trans Day of Remembrance is not a Hallmark moment. It’s not cute. It’s not something you “post and move on” from.
It’s a day that asks us to look directly at the truth: trans lives are taken by hate, by ignorance, by silence, and by systems that should protect them — but don’t.
And yet, every year, our trans siblings remain some of the fiercest, funniest, most brilliant souls walking this earth. Truly the definition of indestructible vibes.
Today, we honor:
✨ The names we know.
✨ The names we don’t.
✨ The lives that deserved more chapters.
✨ The joy, brilliance, and magic that could’ve filled them.
We also honor those who are still here — writing, living, loving, transitioning, fighting, thriving, choosing themselves every single day. Your courage is the kind of plot twist that inspires entire universes. You are not a side note in someone else’s book; you are the main character, period.
At AQ Books, we believe:
Trans lives are sacred.
Trans stories deserve the front shelf, not the footnotes.
Trans joy is revolutionary.
Trans grief deserves to be witnessed — not ignored.
Trans safety is non-negotiable.
To the authors, readers, creators, parents of trans kids, and every trans person who finds themselves in our orbit:
We see you. We stand with you. We fight beside you.
And to the ones we lost —
🕯️ We carry your names.
🕯️ We carry your light.
🕯️ We carry the promise to build a world where no one has to fear being exactly who they are.
May their memories be a blessing — and may our actions be the real tribute.
