Roxi and Xena - The Dogs behind the books.
“I’m the star.” — Roxi.
“Incorrect.” — Xena.

Meet the Dogs (and Cat)
Sure, August Quinn writes the books—but let’s be honest, the real bosses are furry, four-legged, and occasionally flatulent. This page is dedicated to the actual team behind the chaos: the bulldog who demands snacks, the shepherd-husky mix who stares into your soul, the 23-year-old calico who predates civilization, and the human who just pays the bills.
These aren’t just pets—they’re co-authors, critics, and full-time personalities. Get to know the crew that makes August Quinn Books possible (or at least tolerable).

Roxi
Chaos Manager, Professional Pupperoni Thief, Unofficial Editor
Roxi was supposed to be a two-week foster… eight months and a court case later, she staged a full takeover. Official titles include Middle Child Chaos Agent, Pride Mascot, and Full-Time Snorer. She rocks hoodies like a runway model, refuses to go outside when it rains, and considers four Pupperoni per morning a constitutional right.
Her special skills? Grunting like an 18-wheeler in labor, body-slamming vacuums, and clearing rooms with toxic farts without ever waking up. Judgmental yet cuddly, stubborn yet loyal, Roxi is proof that chaos can, in fact, be adorable.

Cookie
The Original Boss
Cookie has been supervising the chaos for over two decades, long before dogs in hoodies were even a thing. At 23 years old, she is regal, ruthless, and only slightly tolerant of canine nonsense. Roxi may bring the chaos and Xena may bring the judgment, but Cookie brings history, authority, and a “don’t even think about it” glare that silences everyone.
Her hobbies include stealing sunbeams, ignoring orders, and reminding the dogs that respect is earned, not barked. She has seen multiple couches come and go, survived every brand of dog food transition, and still claims the warmest spot in the house like it’s written into her will.

Xena
Emotional Support CEO
Firstborn, Bringer of Sass, and self-appointed Emotional Support CEO, Xena came into August’s life by literally sitting on his foot at a cookout—claiming her human like a corporate takeover. She’s deeply intuitive, absurdly dramatic, and somehow manages to wear invisible Crocs while delivering the kind of side-eye that could dismantle empires.
Xena doesn’t just support—she supervises. She knows when you’re sad before you do, howls for snacks like it’s a performance piece, and offers emotional clarity by simply glaring into your soul until you confess. If Roxi is chaos, Xena is consequence.

August AKA Dad
Servant/Butler/Snack Hider
Official titles may include “writer” and “author,” but on the Dog Team page, August is just the hired help. His daily duties include refilling water bowls, folding blankets that will immediately be stolen, and serving as emotional support staff for Xena, fart-target for Roxi, and eternal subject of Cookie’s judgmental glare.
Despite holding opposable thumbs and a book deal, August is under no illusions about who actually runs the house. (Hint: it’s not him.) His only real superpower is hiding snacks high enough that bulldog legs can’t reach them—though Roxi insists it’s a violation of dog rights.
