From theaugustquinn.com to aq-books.com
You probably noticed something different around here. Our site used to wear the full name — theaugustquinn.com — but now we’ve tightened the corset and strutted into our next era as aq-books.com. Shorter. Sharper. More powerful.
This isn’t just a URL change — it’s a signal of who we are now and where we’re going next.
✨ This Is Bigger Than One Name
August Quinn is still the heartbeat of everything we do — the stories, the voice, the unapologetic truth-telling. But the brand has outgrown just one name.
We’re no longer telling just one person’s stories. We’re building an entire publishing house with multiple imprints, a slate of new authors (starting January 2026 👀), and a lineup of books that stretch way beyond a single pen name.
AQ Books is the umbrella over all of it — memoir, fiction, dogs, manifestos, political fire, and the chaotic brilliance you’ve come to expect from us. The new URL reflects that. This isn’t just about August anymore. It’s about the movement.
📚 A Name That Matches the Mission
“theaugustquinn.com” said author website.
“aq-books.com” says publishing powerhouse.
This shift signals where we’re headed: not just writing books but publishing unapologetic stories from many voices — stories too bold, too queer, too real for traditional houses. Stories that refuse to shrink.
We wanted a name that tells you instantly what we do and invites other writers to join the rebellion. And let’s be honest… typing “aq-books.com” is way faster on a phone.
🏳️🌈 Because AQ Is a Whole Universe Now
What started with one author and a dream has grown into four imprints, an expanding roster of books, merch, events, and (soon) a platform for new queer and marginalized voices who deserve a mic.
The new site plants a flag: AQ Books isn’t a pen name. It’s a revolution.
💥 TL;DR:
We didn’t shrink. We leveled up.
theaugustquinn.com was the story of one voice.aq-books.com is the story of many.
🐶 Roxi’s Official Statement (Head of Chaos)
“I, Roxi the Magnificent, fully support this rebrand. Shorter URL means more time for snacks. Also, I propose we redirect the old site to a page entirely about me and my future memoir: Roxi’s Guide to Midlife Reinvention. Dad says this is ‘not the point,’ but I say snacks are the point.”
🐺 Xena’s Addendum (CEO of Feelings)
“Brand evolution is necessary. I approve of the shift from one individual to a collective. Also, Roxi just stole my biscuit, and I feel this should be included in the official record.”
📣 New name. Bigger mission. Same unapologetic energy.
Welcome to the next chapter: aq-books.com — where bold stories bite back.
