Some books evolve. Some books spiral beautifully out of control.
And Hung Up?
Yeah. It did both.
Today, we’re officially announcing that the entire Hung Up universe has been fully rebranded under the Bulldog Books by AQ imprint with an all-new visual identity, redesigned Kindle covers, and a brand direction that finally matches the absolute emotional chaos inside these stories.
Because let’s be honest…
The old covers told three different stories.
Now?
They look like they belong in the same beautifully unhinged family.
Welcome to the New Era of Bulldog Books
Bulldog Books was created for stories that are:
messy
horny
emotionally unstable
laugh-out-loud chaotic
secretly soft underneath all the damage
Not polished romance.
Not sanitized queer fiction.
Not “tastefully complicated.”
These are stories about people making terrible decisions in excellent lighting.
And Hung Up was always the blueprint for that energy.
So instead of leaning into traditional romance covers, we rebuilt the series around something far more cinematic:
emotionally chaotic object covers.
Every redesigned cover now feels like:
the aftermath of a hookup
a relationship argument at 2AM
somebody catching feelings accidentally
domestic disaster with queer emotional support dogs nearby
Which, honestly, is the entire series.
The New Covers

Hung Up
The locker room. The unread texts. The measuring tape. The emotional avoidance disguised as confidence.
This cover now captures the exact vibe of the book:
“cocky enough to flirt, emotionally terrified enough to run.”
It’s sexy without being erotica.
Funny without becoming parody.
Chaotic without losing heart.
Basically: Derrick in cover form.

Hung Up: Wrecked & Married
This one might be our favorite.
A bulldog asleep on the couch.
Wedding rings next to cold pizza.
Spilled mimosas.Chewed Crocs.
IKEA instructions nobody survived emotionally.
It perfectly captures what happens after the “happily ever after” when two disaster gays realize marriage still requires communication.
Roxi absolutely approves of this cover.
Xena is withholding comment pending investigation.

Hung Up: The Prequel — The Origin of Chaos
This cover got the biggest transformation.
Instead of dark gritty drama, it now feels like:
the morning after every bad decision you swore you’d never make again.
Glitter.Solo cups.
Broken notifications.
A rosary tangled in the wreckage.
Sunlight exposing everything.
Which is exactly what this story is:the beginning of the spiral.
Why the Rebrand Matters
This wasn’t just about making prettier covers.
This was about clarifying the identity of Bulldog Books itself.
As AQ-Books continues evolving, each imprint is becoming more intentional:
Unapologetic Voices by AQ → emotionally sharp, identity-driven, literary queer storytelling
Alpha Wisdom by AQ → reflection, growth, healing, perspective
Bulldog Books by AQ → queer chaos romance with teeth
And Hung Up officially became the face of that last category.
These books are loud.
They’re messy.
They flirt too much.
They overshare.
They cry during arguments and then accidentally have sex about it.
In other words:they found the right home.
This Is Just the Beginning
The Hung Up rebrand is part of the much larger Spring 2026 AQ-Books creative overhaul happening across the company right now:
new logos
new imprint identities
redesigned covers
updated website branding
stronger visual continuity
a more cinematic publishing direction overall
AQ-Books is growing up a little.
Not emotionally, obviously.
But visually? Absolutely.
And honestly?
This is the most “us” these books have ever felt.
Welcome to the new era of Bulldog Books. 🐾
